Connect ChatGPT

Connect ChatGPT to Mirror Panel's focused study tools. You can find existing studies, review findings and synthetic respondent evidence, check usage, and launch a text study in a brand you can access.

Set it up

• In ChatGPT, open Settings, choose Plugins (called Apps or Connectors in some builds), then turn on Developer mode. On a workspace plan an admin enables custom MCP connectors first.
• Open User Settings from the account menu in the top-right and find the ChatGPT connector fields.
• Back in ChatGPT choose Create, paste the Name, Description and MCP server URL, set Authentication to OAuth, paste the OAuth Client ID and leave the client secret empty. If you leave the client ID empty as well, ChatGPT registers itself and Mirror Panel accepts that registration.
• Optionally give the connector its icon: open the Icon link from the connector fields, save the PNG, and upload it in the form. It is the Mirror Panel mark at 256 pixels, under the 10 KB limit, so the connector card carries the mark rather than a placeholder.
• Save the connector, then complete the Mirror Panel sign-in flow when ChatGPT opens it: you sign in and approve the connection once. There is no API key or token to paste anywhere, and ChatGPT's access is scoped to your account.

Copy the ChatGPT connector values from User Settings. Its server URL ends in /gpt.

What it enables

ChatGPT can list your brands and their studies, read one study's setup and aggregate findings, inspect individual synthetic respondents, check live capacity and usage, and launch a text-based A/B, ranking, or qualitative study. The connector returns structured results in the conversation. A launch starts processing and uses a Pulse allowance or paid balance when applicable; it does not create a draft in the Pulse form.

Sample brands are read-only

Sample brands are read-only: you can inspect their studies, but launching a study there is refused. Choose a writable brand you belong to before launching. ChatGPT's connector uses your Mirror Panel account and the API checks your brand permissions for every request.

The connection is tied to your account and honours your existing brand permissions. Disconnect it from ChatGPT's connector settings at any time; Mirror Panel keeps no ChatGPT-specific credential.
