Instead of typing a brand name, you can start from your website. Mirror Panel reads a few of your pages, names the brand, writes a short About description into its Pulse defaults, and runs an A/B Pulse comparing two headlines copied word for word from your site. It takes about a minute.
Open Organization from the account menu. Under Create a brand, enter your site in Or start from your website (yourbrand.com is enough) and choose Create from website. The new brand belongs to the organization selected on the page. You need permission to create brands in that organization, the same permission the Create brand button uses.
Each run shows its step: reading the website, writing the brief, creating the brand, then running the A/B Pulse.
When the run is done, the brand appears in your Brand selector. Its Pulse defaults hold the About description, so new Pulses start from it. The run shows that description, the two headlines it compared with each one's share, and the verdict: an option leads only when its share is at least 10 points ahead; otherwise the result is Too close to call. Choose Open Pulse to switch to the new brand and see the full results.
A finished run: the About text saved as Pulse defaults, both headlines with their shares, and the verdict.
Your homepage, plus up to two of your own pages it links to, such as About or Features. Mirror Panel identifies itself to your site, follows your robots.txt, and never guesses addresses. The headlines are copied exactly as your pages show them; nothing is rewritten.
A run stops, without creating anything, when the site blocks automated readers, when it builds its pages in the browser and shows too little text, or when it redirects to a different domain. For a redirect, enter the address your site actually lives at. When something on our side failed, choose Try again: the run resumes from the step that stopped, and never creates a second brand or Pulse.
An organization can have three of these runs in progress at once and start up to 20 a day.
